about

"In September 2006 Perlonex embarked on their second Scandinavia tour. On their first venture into the northern lands of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia in 2005 they have met Mattias Nilsson of the at the time very active Swedish label Kning Disk who also co-produced and hosted their well received first Göteborg concert. Nilsson invited the group back in the following year and provided what one would call an ideal setting. He rented for several days a small but very well equipped recording studio from a local post rock band. The studio was stuffed with a nice collection of instruments, amps, effect pedals and tape delays, a kind of musicians dreamland. Perlonex settled their camper van in front of the studio where they hung out in those mild autumn days, and went back into the studio whenever inspiration hit, to record this unique, often quite melodic and definitely really different material from what you might know as the Perlonex universe. Sadly, up until the material was mixed and ready for release, Nilsson took an out time and when Kning Disk was back on track the label policy had shifted to folk/pop music. Here we finally have Volume 2 of the entire and extensive material which was recorded back in the day, mixed and mastered again, and what we could call the Perlonex post-folk-noise phase."
